The Tour De France is heating up but that’s not the only place that the heat is immense – here in Birmingham we’re finally seeing triple digit temperatures and what better way to cool off than to be outside on your bike!

Right?

Sure it is!  Just because it’s hot doesn’t mean you can’t get out there and have fun.  Just sweat and you’ll be cooled off in a jiffy!

The high today in Jefferson County will be a million gabillion zillion degrees. So make sure to wear sunscreen and drink a Gatorade.

The Tour De Cahaba is July 22nd and while it’ll be sizzling hot, it’s always super fun.

I went last year and had a blast riding all over Birmingham stopping from one Cahaba Cycles to the next.  I never really was bothered by motorists and riding in a huge pack of cyclists was awesome.

There are three routes this year, a 70, 40 and 10 mile route so it doesn’t matter what level you are – there’ll be something for you.

The rest stops are fully supported with food and other things you need (SAG), there are going to be door prizes and the registration is a whopping ten bucks to get you in.  On top of that, three bucks of that goes to the “Save the Ta-Ta’s Foundation.”  So basically you’re riding for boobies!

At the end of the day there’ll be a cookout at the Homewood Store Location.
